On October 7, 2024 at a Joint Board Meeting between Livingston Manor and
Roscoe Central Schools, both schools passed a motion to access public support for
reorganization by petition. This petition may be signed by legally qualified voters
of the respective districts.
Each District has designated representatives to assist the district in gathering
signatures. Roscoe: Gary Dahlman, Tasse Niforatos, Tim Clark, Dan Johnston, Joe
Langan, Patti Lambrigger, Judie Smith, Margaret Tremper, Laurie Allen-Kuehn,
Rebecca Ackerly, Ed Park and Robin Francisco; Livingston Manor: James Buck,
Jill Smith, Nicole Park, Chris Tuleweit, Ed Gorr, John Evans, Judith Emory, Judith
Tuleweit, Carole Edwards, and Jan Carlson. There will also be a petition available
in the main office of Roscoe Central and Livingston Manor Central School
Districts for eligible voters to sign during regular business hours.

The New York State Education Department and New York State Council on Children
and Families has designated September as Attendance Awareness Month. The goal of
this campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of school attendance and the

Livingston Manor and Roscoe fall athletes will have team and individual photos taken by Jeanne Sager Photography on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 1 and 2. Soccer and volleyball teams will be on Oct. 1, with track and football on Oct. 2. We have some exciting events coming up this week!
First up, on Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 PM, our Girls Varsity Soccer team will be taking on Tri-Valley under the lights at LMCS. Let's show our support and cheer them on!
Next, on Friday, September 13th at 7:00 PM, we'll have our annual Powder Puff Football Game on the LMCS Football Field. All players must arrive by 6:30 PM to get ready for the big game. Let's make this year's Powder Puff the best one yet!
Finally, on Saturday, September 14th at 7:00 PM, our Boys Varsity Football team will take on our rivals, Eldred, under the lights at LMCS. This is a big game, so let's come together and cheer them on to victory!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Tomorrow, Thursday, September 5th is the first day of school for RCS students for the 2024-2025 school year! The doors will open at 7:40, and students must be in homeroom by 7:50 in order to have time to eat breakfast and start their school day. Please also mark your calendars for our annual Block Party/Open House on Thursday, September 19th from 5:00-7:00pm. We can't wait to see you!

Varsity Football, Varsity Cross Country, and JV Volleyball practice will be held Monday, August 26th, 2024, at 8:00 AM and will run until 10:00 AM. The practices will be held at LMCS.
Varsity Soccer practice will be held on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at 10:00 AM and will run until 12:00 PM. The practice will be held at LMCS.

Livingston Manor and Roscoe Volleyball will host optional open gym sessions for students entering grades 7-12 who are interested in playing during the 2024-25 school year. It will be a chance for student athletes to dust off their skills and get back on the court. Athletes can come to sessions at both schools, regardless of their home school. Open gym sessions will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 13 to 22. Sessions will be in Roscoe on Aug. 13 and 15 and in Livingston Manor on Aug. 20 and 22. Open gyms will require indoor sneakers (for volleyball use only). Kneepads are encouraged (not mandatory), but will be required for the start of the season. The Livingston Manor & Roscoe Central Schools are excited to announce the opportunity to launch a Boys Junior Varsity Soccer team this season!
Are you a student athlete in grades 9-11 who loves soccer and wants to play alongside your friends? This is your opportunity to step up as a leader and build a boys JV soccer team to represent our schools!

Sports physicals will be offered on 7/16/24 at 1 pm in the school nurse's office. Please contact Mrs. Defreitas (607-498-4126 ext. 6107) if you would like your child to be seen. This physical will be good for one year.
Good Afternoon Blue Devils: Reminder, Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 is the Spring and End of Year Sports Awards which will be taking place in the Livingston Manor Main gym. All athletes are free and guests are asked to pay $10 at the door for the dinner. This event is for Modified, JV, and Varsity athletics. All are welcome. Go Blue Devils!

*End of the School Year Calendar Information for 2023-2024*
Students in Grades 7-12: The last full day of regular school attendance for students in grades 7-12 will be Thursday, June 13th. After that, students only come in for final exams or Regents exams. For grades 7&8, students will have scheduled final exams on June 14th, June 17th, and June 18th. Grades 9-12 Regents exams will take place from June 14th - June 25th. Specific dates and times for final exams and Regents exams will be provided by classroom teachers. There is no school (and no exams) on June 19th due to the Juneteenth holiday.
Students in Grades PreK-6:
School days for the end of the school year will occur as follows:
Wednesday, June 19th - no school (holiday)
Thursday, June 20th - last full day (regular day, 7:40-2:40)
Friday, June 21st - half day (11:30 dismissal)
Monday, June 24th - half day (11:30 dismissal & final day of attendance for students in PreK-6)
Sullivan BOCES, in coordination with the Mid-Hudson School Study Council and Mount Saint Mary College, is reaching out to those who may want to become teachers.
The ideal candidates are those who have college credits or a college degree and a desire to teach or change careers and try teaching.

That will be followed by an informational session at 5 p.m. June 4 at Sullivan BOCES, at 15 Sullivan Ave. in Liberty.
