Since the spring of 2020, families in Sullivan County have been able to have one freshly prepared meal provided to them each week, for free, thanks to A Single Bite.
The program is open to anyone with school-age children. Program participants receive a dinner that includes a main dish as well as a vegetable and/or a grain side dish.
The meals are delivered by volunteers or can be picked up at designated locations.
The program is open to Roscoe families, and organizers encourage families to sign up.
The Youngsville-based nonprofit was founded by Foster Supply Hospitality, and the Family Meal Program has delivered more than 113,000 servings of food to families across the county. It is funded through private donations and grants.
