The vote on the proposed merger via centralization of the Livingston Manor and Roscoe Central School Districts will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the gymnasiums at each district. For the vote to be approved, a majority of voters in each district must vote yes on the measure.

• Dec. 16: at the LMCS Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m.

• Dec. 17: at the RCS Board of Education meeting at 4:30 p.m.

There will be an informational meeting on the Livingston Manor/Roscoe merger study addendum, highlighting the differences between the 2022 and 2024 studies. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17th, in the Roscoe Central School Auditorium.

Livingston Manor and Roscoe Central School Districts are reviewing the possibility of a centralization merger following a boost in funding from the state. An addendum to the merger study completed in 2022 has been completed and the subject will be brought before the boards at a meeting on Oct. 7.
